SyberJet Aircraft is an MSC Aerospace company and a U.S. based manufacturer of the world's fastest and longest range seven-seat light business jet the SJ30. The SJ30 has a top speed of Mach 0.83 (486 kts / 560 mph), a 2,500 nautical mile range, and maintains sea level cabin pressure up to 41,000 feet (maximum flight ceiling of 49,000 feet). SyberJet Aircraft has operations in Cedar City, Utah and in San Antonio, Texas.


The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.  Candidate must be capable of implementing specified system operational requirements into a workable producible design.  The ability to create wiring diagrams and supporting documentation is a must.  Coordination with other engineering personnel and outside vendors in support of designs is required.  Candidate may be asked to develop detailed specification requirements for system components given high level operational requirements.  Candidate will work in a small team of engineers and may be asked to check the work of other engineers on the team.  Candidate may also support the development of production test procedures that verify the design is properly installed and functioning as intended on the aircraft.


A four year degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Applied Science at an accredited college or university, or equivalent training at a trade school, is desired.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


  • 3 to 5 years of aerospace industry related experience.
  • Experience directly involved with the design and integration of aircraft electrical and avionics systems is desired.
  • Must have knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems; how they function, how they are used in the aircraft.
  • Must be familiar with issues unique to aircraft electrical / avionics system integration such as electrical bonding / and shielding for EMI and HIRF, system separation, voltage drop, and failure modes.
  • Must demonstrate a complete understanding of design principles and processes by providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems while being thorough and imaginative.
  • Experience with an ECAD system to develop wiring diagrams is required.  Experience with Zuken E3 is a plus.   Ability to learn Zuken E3 is required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings and documentation is required. This must include the ability to determine interface requirements from available documentation and vendor data as well as the ability to interpret LRU aircraft installation drawings to determine the location and operating environment of equipment and LRU's in support of wiring diagram development.
  • Working knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 23 is a plus.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Experience with and ability to write FTP's is desired.
